Flower Symphony
Act 1
“A Flower Symphony” is a project initiated by designer Adelaide Lala Tam on the occasion of Object Rotterdam (2022).
For this installation, she sets a bucolic scenery at the crown of the Euromast.
Inspired by the lyrical characteristics proper to flora in springtime, “A Flower Symphony” deploys a series of handcrafted glass plates hosting an assortment of delicate pastries and paired with a selection of cold-brewed teas. The piece is depicted in a narration where ephemeral delights, drenching liquids and other sticky nectars are personified and tuned together in a spring choreography.
The present edition celebrates the first three “flowers” of a growing series. “A Flower Symphony” is the fruit of a collaboration between individuals specialised in different fields such as casting and glass, pastry making, drink, storytelling, graphic and set design.
